Shipbuilding Fastening Solutions
STANLEY® Engineered Fastening provides the shipbuilding, maintenance, and repair industry with fastening and assembly solutions that allow safer, faster, and more agile installation. Our tooling and fasteners improve design and strengthen resilience in applications, helping to reduce cost of assembly and ongoing maintenance. The range includes lockbolts, corrosion-resistant stainless steel blind/breakstem rivets, threaded inserts, self-locking thread systems, and associated installation tooling and automation.
Due to the complexity associated with operating in a marine environment, fastening systems used in ship design must not only withstand the heavy loads and thermal challenges but also accommodate materials resistant to corrosion. STANLEY® Engineered Fastening provides shipbuilders with a broad selection of locking fasteners, both internally and externally threaded, and made from a variety of materials, including stainless steel.
Contruction/Repair
Nelson® stud welding solutions enable shipbuilders to reduce energy costs and boost throughput for new construction and restoration.
Accommodations/Interiors
Our diverse and adaptable fastener technologies allow shipbuilders to incorporate and fasten lighter, stronger materials such as aluminum and composite materials developed for cutting edge design.
Shipping Containers
We offer fastening and assembly solutions with the best weight-to-strength ratios on the market suitable for the most demanding applications, helping to reduce maintenance costs and the instance of warranty claims particularly common in shipping containers. Innovate, adapt, and outperform intense competition, while making real cost savings, with our optimized tool and fastener designs.
Marine Propulsion
STANLEY® Engineered Fastening houses state-of-the-art CNC machining centers used to manufacture corrosion-resistant hardware for a variety of watercraft. We utilize high-quality nickel alloy and stainless steel grades according to customer specifications for custom-machined components of superior durability, generally made from K500 Monel or 718 Inconel.
